If we’ve heard it once, we’ve heard it a hundred times. “I don’t know why I’m even coming in,” says a plus-size client on the phone. “I’ve been to all the department stores and boutique after boutique but I never find anything that makes me look good.”

“Give us a try,” we reply, knowing that she’ll be pleasantly surprised. Later, she arrives and a Sterling’s consultant immediately pulls a dozen dresses that she can try on. After much deliberation, she’s down to two and having trouble narrowing it down to just one.

“I was convinced I’d find nothing at all flattering,” she says, “But I’ve really liked several of these dresses and absolutely love these two. I can hardly believe I have this tough decision to make, but I’m thrilled that I do.”
